HI-GRADE #1085 SERIES HALIDE FREE
SOLDERING FLUXES
Description
Hi-Grade #1085 Series Soldering Fluxes are
formulated for effective soldering of copper, tin-plate, nickel and nickel plate. These
fluxes are ideal for automatic lead tinning operations. This series of fluxes is designed
to be water-washed leaving very low levels of ionic residues.
Application
The Hi-Grade #1085 Series Fluxes can be
applied by dipping, spraying, brushing of foaming. The benefits of these fluxes are as
follows:
- Free of corrosive halides
- Excellent solderability
- Residues are easily removed with water
- High reliability after aqueous cleaning

Thinning
Although dilution to compensate for solvent
evaporation losses is seldom required, it is suggested that you use Hi grade 16-1085 for
thinning. It is advisable not to use any other thinners because they may offset the
consistency of flux foaming and soldering characteristics.
Precautions
Flammable liquids should be stored in a
dry, well-ventilated area away form open flames, sparks or direct heat. Wear safety
glasses and protective clothing. See material safety date sheet for full details.

Safety
All fluxes with low flash points should
be handled with utmost care and precaution. They should stored in a dry, well-ventilated
area and flames, sparks and direct heating should be avoided.
