and other chemical reaction. Leaving dross in the solder pot will create problems to
soldering quality and the solder pot life. So, the solder dross is removed from solder pot
daily many times.
The ratio of solder dross taken
out from wave soldering machine daily will be about 45 - 55 % of new solder put in to the
pot. Inside the dross, there is good solder around 65-80 % of the dross weight,
depend on how well it is treated before taking out, which means that a lot of money is
being thrown away everyday.
