ANTI-OXIDANT OIL
Description
Organic petroleum based compounds used as
solder pot blankets to inhibit dross formation thereby saving solder. Prevents clogging of
pump-parts from build-up of metal oxides in wave solder equipment. Reduces surface tension
in solder wave to improve wetting action of solder on boards.
Designed for both inhibiting dross
formation as pot blanket oil and for use as injection oil whereby it acts to control the
surface tension of the solder on the wave thereby greatly reducing the tendency for
bridging and icicling. It is soluble both in water and normal flux remover.
Application
Put on top of still portion of solder with
thickness 5 to 10 mm. It will last for 12 hours. It should be scrapped off and replenished
every 12 hours.
