HI-GRADE #7 BIO-CLEANER

Description

Hi-Grade #7 Bio-Cleaner is a biodegradable aqueous type flux residue remover. It is formulated as a concentrate for dilution with water. Hi-Grade #7 Bio-Cleaner very efficiently and effectively removes all rosin flux residues and water soluble flux residues. Being alkaline in character it will, of course, neutralize organic acid base fluxes.

Uses

Hi-Grade #7 Bio-Cleaner can be used in spray-type automatic in-line cleaning and dishwashing machines. It can also be used in a dip-type method. The cleaning bath concentration is to be maintained properly to get optimum residue removal. When the pH falls below pH 9.0 additional bio-cleaner should be added to bring the pH to 10.5 and to restore its cleaning ability. When the level of cleanliness falls below the user’s standard because of saturation with residue and contamination, it is important to remove the contaminated solution and recharge with fresh mixture. Under normal conditions, frothing and foaming is minimum. If special circumstances develop excess foaming, anti-foaming agents can be safely supplied.

Application

The cleaning power of Hi-Grade #7 Bio-Cleaner can be varied by varying the degree of concentration and the temperature. Hi-Grade #7 Bio-Cleaner is normally diluted with deionized water to a concentration of 3 to 10 percent. However, the ratio of dilution can abe varied to suit each specific case. Effective cleaning can be attained at room temperature, but optimum efficiency is achieved at 140? to 160? F (60? – 71? C) with dwell time of one to three minutes. The dwell time and bath life are dependent on the amount of flux residue load on the printed circuit board.

After soluble reaction, rinsing two to five minutes with hot water is recommended. A final rinse with deionized water is preferable except where optimum cleanliness is not necessary. In any case, complete removal where of bio-cleaner and flux residues are highly essential for product reliability.

Hi-Grade #7 Bio-Cleaner is completely compatible chemically and physically with the residues, particularly all rosin and water-soluble fluxes now in general use.
