The WAVE SOLDER OPTIMIZER  

The OPTIMIZER is the most advanced wave solder process tool in the
world. It is the only device that accurately measures the critical para -
meters at the heart of the wave solder process : The direct interaction
of the board with the wave. It is also the only device suitable for daily
thermal profiles.

Each bar represents a specific combination of dwell time, immersion depth
and contact length readings. In this illustration, bar 3 clearly
represents the optimal parameters. The
OPTIMIZER is used to identify
such parameters, and then employed daily to ensure the repeatability of
bar 3's data, consistently producing the lowest defect rate.

How do you use the OPTIMIZER ?

 
The OPTIMIZER is designed fordaily use by operators and engineers. Its unique display immediately provides you with the results of each run at the touch of a button.
All data is obtained by a single run through your wave solder machine. This information permits
on-the-spot adjustment of the
wave machine settings.

The OPTIMIZER is convenientand user friendly, traveling through any wave solder machine just like a printedcircuit board.

Qualities

    • A resilient carrier board with built-in sensors. Carrier boards are available at any width from 6.5" (165.1 mm) to 18" (457.2 mm).
    • An electronic control unit with video display, and three plug-in ports for the Optimizer's thermal sensor boards or for use with thermocouples.
    • Temperature data is obtained with convenient top-side and bottom-side thermal sensor boards, or by affixing thermocouples directly to your own PCBs. You may also choose to cut your own PCBs and place them directly on the Optimizer.
    • A download feature with cable and software disk.
    • User selects data to appear in metric (millimeters / centigrade) or English (inches / Fahrenheit) measurements.
