SRS2000 / SRS4000  Solder Recovery System

New Advanced Design
Designed and Manufactured by Earth-Tronics Inc. The new SRS represented a quantum leap forward in the processing of solder dross. It sleek lines confirm its streamlined systems, advanced electronic controls and integrated diagnostics. Extensive feedback from the market has enabled Earth-Tronics Inc. to offer a machine that satisfies the high standards required from a modern manufacturing environment particularly with regard to reliability, ease of operation, maintenance and environmental management.

Capacity from 6 kg to 18 kg
Offering capacities of 6 kg (SRS2000) or up to 18 kg (SRS4000) the new SRS has (in most cases) the facility for single operation dedrossing of even the largest wave soldering machines. Its large integrated hopper makes rapid transfer of dross simpler and safer.

Unique Patented System
The process used by the new SRS is unique to Earth-Tronics Inc. and protected worldwide by established and pending patents. Simple in concept but revolutionary in its effect it breaks new ground in the efficient generation of waste in a shop floor environment.

ISO14001 Compliant
The world's leading companies are increasingly adopting this prestigious international environmental standard. The new SRS makes significant contribution to  achieving ISO14001 by effective recycling large quantities of otherwise waste solder dross back to pure reusable solder. In a shop floor situation it does this quickly. cleanly and efficiently and unlike many other environmental measures, it saves significant sums of money as well. The process solder can immediately be reintroduced to the solder bath.

Rapid Payback
On average the new SRS will recover 75 % of hot solder dross produced by wave soldering machine as reusable solder. This generally equates to a reduction of solder purchases of 50%, as many satisfied customers will testify. Running costs are negligible since the machine only uses a single phase electricity supply and six bar airline. Other saving accrues through reduced materials handling and administrative paperwork.

Quality
Independent assay reports by many users confirm that recycled solder ingots are of exactly same specification and quality as that in the solder bath and can immediately be reintroduced into the process.

Health & Safety Enhanced
The new SRS is an enclosed automated system. Hot dross is loaded into the large hopper and sealed into the machine. The process, one started by operator, recovers the solder into a solder tray and deposits the spent dross through a chute to a covered dross bin. Fumes are extracted via a powerful stand alone four part filtration system, which ensures that the emitted air is usually cleaner than the surrounding workplace.

An optional, Hopper Extraction System can be utilised to prevent the escape of any fumes and dust which may be generated when loading.

An automatic air-knife can cool the molten solder ingots until safe to handle. Premature removal of the ingots tray is prevented by a safety lock.

Handing and moving of lead contaminated dross is reduced to a minimum and dust emission is contained within the chute mechanism.

Extensive safety features are built into the machine protecting against misuses and abuse. A variety of switches and sensors are deployed and electrical and electronic circuit is fuse protected.

Maintenance is assisted by prompts from the LCD read out and facilitated by easy access to all working parts of the machine. Routine cleaning can be carried out from a comfortable standing position.

Simple To Use
The new SRS is designed for simple one person operation on the shop floor utilising existing staff. There no complex installation procedures, just plug it into a single phase supply and a six bar airline and it is ready to go.

Once the new SRS has reached operation temperature, hot dross can be loaded and the hopper door shut, After the start button has been pushed no further operator intervention is required until the solder ingots are removed. The cycle takes six minutes plus cooling time.

The new SRS is managed by  an advanced micro processor control system integrated into the cover structure. Its clearly labeled facia includes function buttons, an LCD display and LED indicator lights.

Built in safety devices stop the machine if the hopper door or cover are lifted, or the solder tray is not in position during operation. An emergency stop button is fitted.

Recovered solder is dispensed to a solder ingot tray and can either be stored or re-introduced to the process.

Spent dross is dispatched through a sealed chute to a dross bucket which can be removed when full.

Fume are automatically extracted via a high efficiency stand alone filter which consists of a four part filtration system - Pre filter (synthetic HEPA), HEPA and Charcoal. Alternatively the machine can be pumped into an existing factory air filtration system.

Safety Features
Full safe safety switches fitted as standard together with emergency stop, automatic over temperature cut out, fully protected circuitries, CE approved, also complies with   current machinery directives.

Warranty
The SRS has a year warranty or 2000 cycles whichever is soonest.
